Diabetes is on the rise

Hi, Everyone –

It is a well known fact that Americans have been struggling with obesity for sometime now, but recent news coming from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have shed light on the effects of this growing epidemic. According to the CDCP, in the past two years the number of Americans with diabetes has increased by 15 percent, bringing the total to 24 million. However, the most alarming information coming out of this study is the fact that the majority of these cases are Type 2 diabetes!

As I’m sure most of you are aware, Type 2 diabetes is related to obesity and inactivity. The good news in all of this is that even if you have already developed diabetes, or are pre-diabetic, it is not too late. By starting a healthier lifestyle, coupling better food choices with regular exercise, you can make a dramatic difference in your health.
